As an old school comic geek I have to say I really love this design. I love to browse the images on this site and find the occasional diamonds in the rough that can deliver a sense of background just from their appearance. This image does so very well. Even as just a static pose their is so much that fires on all cylinders. The costume is a perfect blend of modern understatement and retro lines, The starfield in the cape screams that there is cosmic significance to the character, and the helmet itself looks like it could be either an artifact or a high tech device.
