again, i'm tired of seeing bad artwork created with bases so i made this. i hope it will help someone. this took me a long time so i hope people will pay attention to it.oh and if you don't have the Paint.net program i mentioned, just type it in on google and you should be able to find the cite. that's the program i make all of my bases on for any of you who actually like them.
i have nothing more to say i guess . . .

ps. the top picture was made by my friend and you can't steal it even though it's amazing and you all want it XD

I did? i didn't even mean to use their skirts. their just random ones i thought of. the blur tool has to be one the blurs the entire picture at the same time. if you know what i mean.

i think you dress bases fine, but maybe you could try shading a little more.

I disagree with the last step...If you have been working with pixels so far, what's the point in making them look non-pixelated??
Wouldn't it be better to grab a base, and draw on top of it, to create a "drawing base" ? like I did here [link] for a drawing
As far as I know that would no longer be considered "pixel art", since the blur mixes things up, and you no longer can see the pixels...it ends up more like a Tooled doll rather than pixel.
I appreciate the fact that you are trying to help those who aren't that good at pixeling, but, in my opinion, it would have been better without the harsh comments, since no one wants to be told their stuff is sh!t :S

it was just an optional step. i'm not saying you have to do it. it's just for people who want their drawings to look less pixellated. and i wasn't trying to make other people's things look bad. i tried to have the first example look as bad as possible, hoping no one's art actually looked like that.
