Description
This is a drawing that I would spend my high school lunch hours working away at one point in life. Many of years ago. I do not recall where the original piece comes from. I was using someone elses art to look upon and draw it much larger on this piece of bristol board. Forgive the damage on the art as I never really kept this protected like I do with my art now.It belonged in a pile of boxes while sitting in storage for many years after drawing it out. I do believe it came from a small instruction booklet from a video game. Or perhaps a gaming magazine. I do not know what game it comes from however. I have tried finding it online over the years but always failed to find the original piece and artist.
There was a time that I used to hate colouring. As I always felt I ruined the art. This is how I coloured around grade 10 or 11 maybe. Drawing ruined and left unfinished. Probably why I put it away in a place packed full of boxes.
I wasn't happy with how I used to add shadows and never even thought about highlights. I coloured in single colours and never added different shades to give better texture and well overall appearance. Some of the black was how I attempted to add shadows instead of using a darker green for instance.
Throwing this up to show one of my first real drawings that I once used to love. Until I began adding colour using crayola coloured pencils. I was limited in my colours so that is probably why I done this. I knew shadows were darker, but never had a darker green and went with black instead.
Wish I knew where the original design comes from. I would look it up again.
