Description
For a long time, the only thing I knew about Johnny Test was that it featured, for a scant few seconds, a really cool TFTG design. After watching it to get some ‘research’ in for this strip, I wish that was still all I knew about it.
Heh, I jest - It was good enough for a kid show. A bit cheap and kinda ugly, but sometimes imaginative and... good enough. This strip kind of breaks canon in some respects, with the few episodes I watched, but I hope no one minds.

now do a follow up where Johnny/Jenny Test gets married with Gil or one where he goes back to his sisters for help. I would love to see you do more on this

Ah wisdom is always gained after you have done something stupid. Gil could have had a wicked awesome girlfriend if he had only gone slower. Ah well life is weird, beautiful and really stupid sometimes.

Well if anyone's worried about it breaking cannon, this doesn't actually have to be how the story ends. I imagine that a lot of stuff could happen after this that would completely resolve it. For one thing with Johnny seemingly completely missing for over a week, his family would be pretty concerned about him and eventually I imagine that his sisters could put two and two together.

Great work as always, love the designs and the humor is cheeky and cheesy, so fitting the source material (except I actually chuckled here).

What's funny is that it breaks canon in that Gil isn't in love with Johnny ENOUGH! Like the gay overtones with Gil were overwhelming and I don't even look for that kind of thing. There's more than a few times Gil pretty much hits on Johnny. Also, weird sidenote, in the DS game Johnny has to rescue "Princess Gil".
Which...yeah the show was annoying, especially after the first season, but CRIPES did it have a LOT of gender bending. It's honestly kind of obvious that TG was SOMEONE on the show's fetish. Let's see, there was the first episode where we had this, an episode where Johnny dressed as a girl for Take Your Daughter To Work Day, an episode where Johnny dresses as a girl scout (I think Gil hit on Johnny in this one), Dukey turns into Susan Test once via transformation hula hoop, Johnny and Dukey get turned into Roller Derby girls, Susan and Mary get turned into boys for a scene in the episode where Johnny's Dad sleep walks, Johnny switches places with a Princess that looks just like him, and there's an episode where Johnny visits a parallel Rule 63 universe and falls in love with himself.
Those are just the ones I remember. Yeah, somewhere between the screaming, whipcracks, and fart jokes there was a whole lot of TG going on...and yet they only used that sweet design from Episode 1 ONCE.

I swear it feels like they introduced that design just to lure people in, in hopes that we'd see it again. It is a sweet enough design to trick people into watching 6 seasons of a show!
And yeah, I'm still amazed hearing how much TFTG is in the show. I'll have to check those out at least, and it is always fun to hear of any show that plays as much with it as this one did. Really shows how much when you list them out like that! And many of them are really fun premises!

Man, what great work you've done here.
You know, I watched a breakdown about this series a few weeks back that shed some light on this series and it's lack of quality. It also pointed out that Fem Johnny some what of a reacquiring theme in the show in one way or another. Examples of this are Johnny's sorta of girlfriend basically being a female version of him and the alternate gender bent dimension.

Thanks for linking that! It was really well put together, and answered at least a few questions I had about why the show was the way it was, and kind of let me watch the show without watching the show. And I can't fault a show that pokes at TFTG as much as this one did.
