Well maybe the whole plan for kepping Frisk's body for himself was selfish but that's understandable he doesn't want to be a spirit once again .
Right now the only victim is Frisk who got drug and nearly lost within her soul due to Sans's actions and got kept hostage within her own mind by Chara who wanted the control of the whole body despite the fact that he already has control during the day which is way more than Frisk's time.
So yeah screw both Chara and Sans .

Alphys says that Chara's mind would be off temporally but 1) why the medecine affect Chara's mind? Why it's Chara who has his mind keeps off? 2) Temporally? Definite temporally Alphys, I'm sure that toriel want to know.

The fact is more likely Chara has taken over Frisk's body and theΒ life she was supposed to have.
So in Sans' perspective, he is doing the right thing. Helping Frisk is the first priority in his consideration. (Although the action he took also involves his own purpose.)
Chara also does those things for his own reasons though.
And yes Toriel is unhappy indeed.Β

I must say that I'm with Frisk here. Sans really shouldn't have done that, especially because it caused Frisk to go through... well, whatever that was. Even so, I hope she can come to forgive him... and I really hope that Chara is okay. From what Alphys said, he should be, but if the 'medicine' made Frisk go through that... Hm.

I see Part 48 as a reminder that every love relationship isn't always sunshine and rainbows.
That strong loving relationships are forged though not just the happiness moments that strengthen the bonds, but also the terrible misdeeds that puts those strengthened bonds to the test to see whether it holds or not.
To me I find that to be the moral of this par- no wait, the entire chapter.
