Just load the x file in pmx editor, and save it as pmx. Super easy ^^

Sorry for late reply--you just title the texture the same as the original texture file in the folder ("Paper.png", make sure your new texture is a .png as well) and allow it to overwrite. Or, you can modify the original texture.
