do not use dem blacks and whites to give highlights.
you gotta think in terms of chocolate
milk chocolate is the normal tone
Dark chocolate is the shadowsgrfhio
but really, you should try getting a darker shade and never resorting to using black unless you really need that extra contrast.
and white chocolate is the highlights
