Description
Although they were seldom used, Moonbase Alpha had a number of lunar surface deployed "space tanks" armed with high-yield laser cannons. As to why this would be prior to the moons departure from Earth orbit is anyone's guess, but after the nuclear explosion and following attacks made on Moonbase Alpha by alien probes and vessels they became invaluable. I have shown a lunar rover alongside the tank to establish relative scale.
