Description
ZIL was one of the most famous off-road army trucks that came from the former USSR. A number of different models have been produced in a large number of different modified versions. With the main client being the Red Army, a large number of models were designed for the military use. The simplest was the tarpaulin-covered lorry. There were also a version with solid panelled extension which could serve as a mobile car repair workshop or a radio communication vehicle. The other models could be used as the rocket-launcher towing vehicles. There were also water tank or petrol tank models of the vehicle.
Because of their enormous versatility, ZILs were exported to the countries of the former Warshaw Pact and other friendly countries where these vehicles can still be found in active service.

I found it in a junk yard in Novi Sad, abandoned and painted in white, which is, certainly, not a military colour...
