here i standall alone
outside my church
outside my home.
it has been closed
for many years
so many memories
so many tears.
i get so much grief
for believing in you
sometimes it gets hard
and i dont know what to do.
but you will save me
just like you did before
and take me back
to my ocean shore.
here i sit
all alone
outside my church
outside my home.
i do not care
what others think
you are my Father and Savior
and my heart will not shrink.
you have been there
in good times and bad
and many times
you were all i had.
here i am
all alone
outside my church

i want to be in
but cannot be
i want to see you
do you want to see me?
there i'll be
not alone
inside my church
inside my home.
i will be safe
from harm one day
but untill then
ill just pray.

Just re-read it, and still very impressed, possibly even moreso. Ive been through the ups and down and found God a release at some of those times, even though im not truly religious, He has been the things you describe in your piece there for me too.
