Forte was not always in the position he’s currently in. No, he was built as a prototype for Bass, using the highly-experimental Fortenium Generator. However, he ended up being too dangerous and unstable for Wily’s liking, so he shut Forte down and put him in stasis, while using his designs to build a more stable robot, Bass, and powering him with a more stable version of this generator. And that should’ve been it, but Forte’s stasis capsule was eventually discovered by other robots, who freed him…and immediately became enthralled by Forte’s unstable power source. He’s sworn revenge on Wily for abandoning him, and his current plan, using the Gospel Virus as a superweapon, shows it. Personality-wise, he’s everything Bass isn’t. Cold, aloof and harshly dismissive of anyone who dares take up arms against him. He also bears a most peculiar, purple gem on his forehead…
