I have Pentium D, CPU 3.2 GHz , RAM 3 GB. My computer is 4 odd years. So it's really out of date now.

i love it, thanks for submitting to my club gallery, awesome music choice, prefer the full uncut version myself but the animation would of been very long then haha
the only thing i would of added into this is strip lights, neon ones under rims and along cielings, more lights! >:3

If I used the uncut version the animation would be not only long but the rendering time would be much much much longer. The version I've seen has been rendered for about a month. So I'd have to spend about 3 months to render 3 minute version.
As for the lights I don't think your suggestion would be good 'cause I have the same design (hemisphere with light stripes) for each light in the scene.

why does the rendering take so long? it doesnt looks like its that heavy on textures, models or lighting?

The materials are very complexed. There are plenty of reflections and refractions.
So average render time of one frame was 10-15 minutes.

no offence but the materials look basic, apart from the video footage the materials look like theyre just a whitey grey material, is there more to it that im not seeing?

yeah i thought it would be that, if i were you id apply for the film status if you do animations alot, i applied for it so i can upload video files now which makes it much nicer, to be able to upload HQ renders as opposed to lower flash videos
not that i have anything worth uploading just yet
