Bio: Aurora is another GE 'U-Boat' diesel who works on the Salt Lake & Southwestern. She is a former Northern Pacific U28C built by General Electric in 1966 in response to the competitive pressure of the second generation horsepower race. Being the last Northern Pacific unit, Aurora and her siblings handled long distance freight across the Northern Pacific system and was part of General Electric's second six-axle model. Equipped with a mars light, Aurora and her siblings provided 2800 Horsepower, it that wasnt strong enough to meet the requirements to have 3000 horsepower, but nevertheless, Aurora and her siblings served the Northern Pacific well until upon becoming part of Burlington Northern's roster in March 1970. As a result Aurora, her siblings, and other diesels that were involved would be repainted into BN's 'Cascade Green' Livery. Aside from that though, Aruora continued to serve the BN well until the 1980s when they were replaced by newer and more modern diesels. After being taken off of BN's roster, Aurora and her siblings would be sold of to shortline railroads, museums, parks, or sent to be scrapped. Aurora found later life working on a shortline railroad somewhere in the Midwestern region, working side by side woth other diesels that previously came from the other railroads as well. For many years, Aurora would continue to help out on the shortline she worked on until the late 1990s when she was purchased by the Salt Lake & Southwestern for handling heavy freight runs and helper duties. Upon arriving and becoming a permanent resident of the railroad, Aurora was overhauled and repainted back into her Northern Pacific colors afterwards. This GE diesel can often be seen handling heavy freight trains as well as acting as a helper getting trains over steep grades.

Persona: Aurora is a gentle diesel and a real freight lover! She loves to haul freight as she knows how important transporting goods are for the American Economy. Aurora is also good friends with Rebecca the BN SD70MAC despite tha fact that Aurora had already been retired from BN when Rebecca first arrived on the BN.
