Denila

Denila is.... a lot of things to me. Back when I was working in Egypt, I discovered an ancient antechamber in the temple of Sobek in ancient Crocodopolis. It led down to a catacomb, where, of all things, I found the beast. It slept, but it was alive, so the team took evidence and fled, eager to tell of the news. Only for her to wake from a flash photo and drive us out. Imagine the sight, a massive bipedal Nile Crocodile rising from an ancient part of a very old city. The Egyptian populace went into chaos. Some fled away from it, some towards it, for 'Sobek had been awakened.'

About this point, I met Reed, Mel, and Frank, who had come to Egypt when they heard about the big croc being there. That led to confusion when they stated there was another big croc out there already, only bigger.

Sobek's cult, rising from the shadows, attempted to control the creature with some staff, causing the beast to rampage across the developed parts of the nearby towns, due to some dark design that we have yet to figure out to this day.

Things went into hyperdrive when Ragido arrived. Denila, (Frank's naming, I would have gone with Petsochus, but he just HAD to say she was female and be right...) suddenly changed her entire style of movements and attacked Ragido head on. Myself being in shock that those 3 were right, all we could do was watch as the colossal crocs tore each other to shreds across the arid Egyptian landscape.

It was the first true sign of the scale these monster sightings were approaching, as not only did Denila show that there were other creatures like Ragido out there, but she would also play the role of the first victim to perhaps the greatest monster of them all.

The two demigod's dances of death was a sight, so much so that we were unaware of a dark shadow beginning to blanket the sky...
