Description
Here's me playing with styles. Sometimes I have to stretch a bit to keep myself from getting into a rut, and when that happens, I stop enjoying what I'm doing. That happened to me years ago, and I only managed to get out of it by switching to manga art. Because of that, I have to remember to give myself time to relax and play with the rules once in a while.
One of the artistic styles that inspired me for the longest time was the character art done in Capcom for their games, particularly during the time of Street Fighter Alpha and Darkstalkers. The musculature, the exaggerated proportions, these were things that guided me in my own forays into character creation and design. And don't forget the hyper-stylistic poses of the characters! There is NO WAY a person could pull off some of those poses, but there's something about it that speaks to me. And it's fun!
So here's Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn using a bit of that style. As a nod to the style's origins, I even gave Ivy's outfit a slightly Morrigan-ish look. With the exception of some projects (for the sake of consistency), I may be drawing like this more and more this year. So expect some big hands and feet from me from time to time!
Commissions are still open! 2-character coms like this are available for $25 until the end of January 2014, check my profile for more details!

Morrigan SHOULD be dressed in intricately painted on, blue Celtic vines and nothing else. What the blazes does the bat version of a playboy bunny outfit have anything to do with Irish mythology? Capcom was WEIRD with that.
