Here is the Spring Rooster completed with a background.My chicken art all stems from being raised with chickens and keeping some as pets and some for meat. My mom had this chicken book she would order from and I remember looking through it and being amazed by all the different sorts of chicken breeds out there. Some are just so beautiful! My mother just loved chickens, so I basically dedicate every chicken painting I do to her. For my Rooster paintings, I am set on making "funky chickens", chickens who are more fantasy than reality.

This is one of the coolest, most original concepts I've seen in a while. The colors/technical side of the art all looks great, but the detail you put into this is incredible. there's just so much to see on this, from the tiny flowers and mushrooms on the rooster's back to the small details on the roots, to how the red parts of the face look like leaves. Clearly a lot of thought was put into this and it shows. Absolutely beautiful work!
I know this is categorized as mixed media, do you mind if I ask what you used?
