Description
When the Confederation of Free Socialist states emerged from its revolution against a collapsing Confederate States of America, many believed that peace and justice had finally been brought to Dixie, but of course it wasn't the case. Becoming the corporatized breadbasket of the red world during the Cold War, the area saw frequent purges, massacres, and ideologically driven power struggles across the region. When the state collapsed, the Third Southern Republic emerged in an attempt to bring genuine democracy to the former red states. For the last few decades, it has been a one-party state under a military coalition. However, with an expansion to its foreign policy to include other nations, and a surprising connection made to the Foldkdom of Wolojia across the Atlantic waters.

The nation has entered a new era, and is on a path towards an uncertain, albeit hopeful future.
