After the betrayal of Coral Pearl and the loss of the ship which carried the team to Barque, Jade and Turquoise arrive on planet in a small scout ship searching for their lost cargo, Coral. They luck out and land near the team... but everyone's luck is about to run out. A corrupted Gem attacks the camp, killing two Gems. Jade and Salt, training together, are forced to fuse for survival.
Serpentine is sarcastic and a bit wild. Though Jade has secretly fused with Turquoise before, Salt is completely inexperienced with any type of fusion. Their union is fraught with tension because of Salt's aggressive nature. Serpentine has fled in the face of Topaz's fury and is currently wandering the edge of the Flureserve.
