The pose makes him look like an oak tree that has gone through many storms.

This is absolutely gorgeous! The lines are so incredibly strong and the tonal extremes in light and shadow give this shape/image a wonderfully dramatic feel.
I actually really like the texture and mid-tone of the wall in the background too. It's a great contrast to the dramatic lighting and smooth planes of the model!
