I had about an hour where I hated this but then I reworked some of the lighting and Ariannas face and now I'm quite happy with it!
Β Owwwwwwww poor tongue, that's gotta hurt. ;w; But I feel more sorry for Ari. She's frickin terrified outta her mind!! But don't worry, she'll be fine.

See, this is something i love about Arianna's character. She's tough-as-nails, but has a very particular fear, one that just so happens to be the most common practice of her predatory giant friends. Ain't that just a crazy random happen-stance.

Arianna's world shifted toward the back of the mouth. She had lost all the composure she had gained a few moments earlier, and she immediately panicked while she gravitated toward the giant throat. Through instinct, Arianna plunged her knife deep into the back of the giant's tongue. The giant howled in pain, rattling Arianna's head momentarily before regaining her composure. Had she delayed a second earlier, she would be traveling down to the giant's stomach right about now. Arianna struggled to pull herself back out of the giant's throat, but her body was drenched in saliva, as well as the blood from the wound she created. Already, she felt her grip slipping...

How loud was the giant's howl?Β At that size, it would be the equivalent of Arianna standing near a tornado siren.
