     This place. It's dark and hot. I thought. Even behind bricks it was like I could be burned by the heat. I sat beside the window of in my room looking out at the dark world of fire. I sighed and picked up my one-strapped bag. Inside was some food, buckets, arrows, and my bow. I took off my jacket and put it into my bag. Then, I went out of my room and walked around in the building. When I got onto a bridge I looked around. Soon, I heard the sound of a ghast and quickly dodged the fireball. Then, I looked for it and spotted it before dodging another fireball. I shot my arrow and it hit. Only a few more. I thought. The ghast shot another fireball and I hit it with my arrow. Then, the ghast fell. I wiped dust off my legs, climbed onto the side of the wall, and jumped down to the ground a few feet below.

   I wonder if I can finally get out today. I thought. It doesn't hurt to try. I've been here for all my life. I walked down the hill of neatherrack. So, many mobs. I just have to stay hidden. I thought. I took my black jacket out of my bag, put it on, and put up my hood. I ran through the red, fiery world. The zombie pigmen didn't bother me and the other mobs didn't seem to notice me because of my speed. Soon, I stopped behind a good-sized rock figuration to rest. I looked around to for the portal I had seen people come in and out of and that connected this world and the world of light.

   I guess I have to go farther. I thought. I continued to run through the world of fire. Then, I ran into something. Oh, no. A whither skeleton. I said to myself before backing up. It's going to take me back to the building. It pulled out it's sword and came toward me. I took out my bow and shot at it.
"Darn it. Barely any damage," I whispered. It kept it fazed for a few seconds before it started coming toward me. I ran away as quickly as possible and it fallowed me. It got close and slashed at me with it's sword. I fell to the ground. I felt my health being drained from the whither. The whither grabbed me and drag me as my health was being drained. A few more seconds. I thought. Then, the whither effect stopped. I was low on health. The whither kept on dragging me. I struggled to try to get free, but I couldn't.

   Then, the whither was hit by an arrow. It looked around only to be hit by another arrow. Then, I saw a figure run past and slash at it with a sword. It was getting weak, the figure hit it with another arrow, and it fell leaving a bone. I looked around for the figure I had seen.
"You okay?" asked a male voice. I looked over to my left to see a boy a few feet away from me, sitting on the neatherrack.
"Yes. Thanks for helping me," I answered.
"Why was that whither skeleton dragging you?" he asked.
"I was trying to escape this place. I've been here my entire life, that I can remember," I said.

"I'll help you out. I know where the portal is," said the boy. He got up and put his hood up.
"Fallow me," he said. I nodded and we ran through the neather. We dodged the fireballs that were shot at us by the ghasts.
"We're almost there!" he called. I nodded. Then, I saw the portal. But it was being watched by some ghasts. He looked back at me and mouthed the words you okay. I nodded. The ghasts screeching got louder.
"So loud!" I cried covering my ears. The boy nodded covering his ears. Fireballs were being shot left and right. We were really close to the portal when multiple fireballs shot at us and made a huge explosion.

   When the smoke cleared the boy and I gasped. The portal was broken...
