Chapter 4
Amy and I were doing the obstacle course.
"What is this for?" I asked.
"To make sure we can handle different situations and different area," said Amy. I nodded. Amy and I dashed through the course. Dodged bullets, escaping fire, and many other obstacles that could happen. We were tired out by the end of the day after all the training.
"Goodnight Lillit. See you in the morning," said Amy.
"Goodnight," I said. Both of us fell asleep.
Later that night...
I woke up in alarm smelling smoke.
"Amy wake up! I smell smoke," I exclaimed. Amy woke up.
"I smell it too. We need to get out of here," said Amy. Both of us ran out of the room. We ran down the hall but flames sported up and we were forced to turn around. The two of us ended up in a large room near the end of the building. Fire was everywhere. Amy was coughing.
"Where to go?" I asked, "The other directions are blocked by fallen things." Amy and I looked around.
Then, Amy heard something and looked up.
"Lillit look out!" Called Amy before running and blocking me from the falling celling. Amy fell to the ground and the rock fell onto her back. She cried in pain.
"Amy," I said. Amy looked at me
"You shielded me from the rock," I said.
"Yeah. I couldn't let you be crushed. I'm supposed to help you escape and protect you," said Amy. She started coughing and breathing heavy.
"I have to find a way to get you out," I said. When I started looking around Amy grabbed my tail. I turned around.
"It's no use," said Amy before getting into a coughing fit.
"But Amy, we're supposed to escape here together. I can't lose my trainer," I said, tears forming in my eyes.
"I can't go on with you. You'll have to escape on your own Lillit. I'm sorry," said Amy.
"No! There has to be a way!" I exclaimed. Amy pointed to a small hole in the wall.
"Go Lillit. There's your way out," said Amy. I wanted to say something but her throat was stuffed. All I could fo was put my paw on Amys hand.
"Goodbye Lillit. I'll miss you," said Amy. Then, Amy stopped breathing and moving. I cried and then I got down and licked Amy's hand. (Goodbye friend.) I thought. I wiped the tears from my eyes. The celling started falling and I dashed for the hole in the wall. I looked at Amy one more time before jumping through the hole.
