I woke up and went downstairs to see Blake.
"Morning," he said with a smile. "You ready to break this place down and get going?"
"Yeah," I said. "Let's get to work. We'll need to get this done before nightfall." Blake nodded and we began breaking down the house.
After a ton of work of breaking the house down later...
"Okay. We're finally done," said Blake. I nodded and looked at the sky. We still had a little bit of time before sun down. Blake looked into his bag and nodded.
"Okay. Let's go," he said and we started climbing down the mountain. Both of us kept watch for mobs the entire way down. Blake had his sword in hand and I had my bow in my hand. We somehow made it down the mountain safely. Then, we came into a woods area.
"We'll need to get through here quick," he said and I nodded, not knowing why we had to go even quicker through here. We began running through the woods.
"Why do we have to get out of here qui-" I started but I stopped when I heard the sound of an arrow being released.
"Get down!" I called pushing him down and me getting down as the arrow whizzed over us. I got my bow up with an arrow, ready to fire.
"Who's there?" I asked a with a bit of a glare in my blue eyes.
"Sorry about that," said a male voice as a boy stepped out from behind a tree.
"I was trying to aim for the creeper behind you guys. It was about to explode," he said. I put my bow down and my arrow back into it the bag. Blake got up and turned around. I turned around to see gunpowder on the ground. This must be what they drop if you kill them. But how did we not hear it before it went off? I thought before picking it up and putting it in a small bag. The boy walked over to us.
"I really didn't pay attention to you guys. I'm sorry," he said.
"It's okay," said Blake. "Thanks for the help. What's your name?"
"The name's Kai," he answered, with a smile. I half smiled back.
"So, where are you guys headed?" he asked. Blake and I glanced at each other.
"We're just traveling around. We like to move around a bit, see the area," I told him. "What about you?"
"I like exploring caves," he said. "Well, I better get going. It'll be getting dark pretty soon." Then, he ran off into the trees.
"That guy....," I said, not knowing for sure how to finish, looking the direction he had went.
"I'm happy he helped us but how did we not hear the creeper hiss or something?" I said. Blake shook his head.
"I don't know. But we better keep moving before it does get late. We don't want to be in here by then," he told me. I nodded and we started dashing through the woods once again, dodging trees. But soon enough the sun was going down.
"Oh, no," whispered Blake.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"We need to get out of here now or else we need to build something fast," he said. "Make sure to get out your bow because we need to run." he said. I nodded, pulled out my bow, and ran.
"So, why do we need to run through here?" I asked Blake.
"The night mobs come out. They're the ones you probably saw yesterday night or so. There's zombies, skeletons, and, of course, creepers." he told me. Like it was a trigger after he said that a creeper exploding, almost knocking me over. I flinched a little at the pain, but I kept on going. I glanced at Blake and he nodded. The arrows started flying all around us.
"Shoot," whispered Blake, pulling out his sword. Then, the mobs began to surround us. Then, they charged again. I tried shooting an arrow but missed and began running, trying to shoot and avoid other mobs. Then, a skeleton got me in the leg with an arrow and I clenched my teeth as pain shot through my leg. Blake was out of my sight and the mobs were seeming to increase. I shot an arrow at the skeleton who had shot me before getting another arrow in my arm. I hissed in pain and then, one by one, the mobs began to fall to arrows. They seemed to be focused on a new opponent. I looked around before someone grabbed my hand.
"Come on. I'll lead you to safety," said a male voice and I looked to see who it was. But I couldn't because the shadows and a mask covered it. We began running and I watched as the mobs seemed to gather where the arrows had been fired. Once we got out of the forest he led me to an underground hide away. It closed once we got inside and we stopped.
"Are you okay?" he asked and I nodded.
"Yeah," I said and then a thought popped into my mind. "Wait, Blake's still back there!"
"It'll be fine. My friend's going to get him to here. You guys can stay here for the night. For now I'm going to help you with those arrow wounds. They seem deep," he said walking over to a chest. I looked around to see that the home was rather simple. It had a chest, a crafting table, two beds, and some torches.
"You can sit on the bed," he said and I nodded. When I sat down more pain shot through my leg and I hissed. The person looked up at me before bring over some medical supplies. We got the arrows out with a bit of pain. I looked at the arrow that had punctured me fora few seconds, the blood that was on it. It had gotten a bit deep. Right after we got me bandaged another person ran in with Blake. Blake ran over to me when he saw me.
"I'm glad you're okay," he told me and I smiled. He had some bruises on him.
"Are you okay?" I asked, glancing up at the two who had saved us before looking back at Blake. He nodded.
"I'm fine. I just got a bit bruised. Those mobs just seemed to come out of thin air," he told me and I nodded. I looked up at the two who had helped us. They were talking in hushed voices before looking at me.
"Thanks for helping us," I said. "I don't know if we could've made it through that." The one that had helped me, the one in the dark blue jacket nodded.
"No problem. We had been wondering where all of them were headed. Do you have any idea why they all seemed to be after you two?" he asked. I bit my lip.
"I have no idea why. They just suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I normally see mobs all the time. But I've never seen that many in one place before," he told them and they nodded.
"We don't know why either. It's strange," said the other boy in the grey hoodie. "Well, you two better get some rest. We'll let you guys out in the morning. There's two beds set up in the other room," he told us.
"Thanks," said Blake, getting up and walking into the other room. I went in as well and sat on one of the beds.
"That was nuts. I can't believe that these two helped up though," he said.
"Yeah. I know. But we don't know who they are. For all we know they could be enemies," I said and Blake nodded.
"Well, we'll see in the morning. If they take us out or do anything we'll know. But they did help us and we're heading out tomorrow," he said. "Well, goodnight. I'll see you in the morning."
"Okay. See you in the morning," I said before lying on the bed and falling asleep.
