Chapter 8

We both turned. Jolteon motioned for me to hide and I did. He looked around.

"Lillit we need to run," he said. He quickly grabbed my paw and we dashed. I heard footsteps behind us. Then, a shadow ball hit us and we were knocked to the ground. I looked up and saw three Team R members a few yards away from us.

"Lillit run," said Jolteon.

"What about you?" I asked.

"Don't worry, just run. If I get caught at least you'll be okay. Now go," said Jolteon. I looked at him and nodded. We both got up. Jolteon used thunder and I ran using quick attack. I looked back once and saw Jolteon fighting hard. Than, I just ran through the forest. I ran the ought the field and into another forest. After a little while I stopped, breathing hard. (Jolteon was probably captured. I lost another friend.) I thought. I growled at the thought.

"Darn it," I said. "I thought we'd make it. I should've known the plan was too perfect." I sat under a tree and looked at the night sky. The stars gleamed and the moon was a cresant. After I was done I jumped into a tree for cover and went to sleep.

The next morning...

I woke up at sunrise, which was early for me. Then, I jumped out of the tree. (It's time to continue going. Toward the clans.) I thought. I trekked through the forest for a bit. Then, I stopped in a clearing after a little while. I could tell I was close just by instinct. After that I kept going. It wasn't long until I got really close to the border. I was on the edge if it and I jumped into a tree. When I heard noise I looked around. Then, I took off my collar and hung it on branch high up. (That should keep it there so no one will know it was mine.) I thought. When I looked down I saw a purrloin, a shiny umbreon-colored vulpix,and a togetic. The vulpix looked around.

"Do you feel like we're being watched?" Asked the vulpix.

"Yeah. I smell a strange scent as well," said the purrloin. The togetic nodded. The purrloin sniffed the air. She looked at the vulpix and he nodded. Then, the purrloin walked toward the tree I was in and climbed up it. I backed up into the branches just a bit. The purloin was up in seconds. She saw me and walked over.

"Who are you?" She asked. "Wait. First come down from the tree with me." She jumped down and I did as well. We walked over to the vulpix and the togetic.

"Why are you here?" Asked the vulpix.

"I'm here to join your clan," I answered. "I'll tell you how I managed to find this place if you can take me. I mean no harm. You can trust me." The three talked in a whisper and then turned to me.

"You can come," said the vulpix. I nodded. Then, we walked to the clan. I didn't know if I would be accepted or not. (I guess I'll see.) I thought.
