Emily woke up about a half-an-hour after Adrian and her had gotten to the field. Emily opened her eyes.
"Where are we?" she asked.
"We're in a field. I got us out of the cave that Blake and Crow had taken us to," Adrian said Emily. She smiled. It had been a while since Adrian had seen her smile. She sat down beside me. Then, a cold wind blew through the field.
"I guess winter is coming soon," said Emily smiling. "I love the snow."
"Me too," said Adrian. Then, Emily's smile faded
"You know we well I can't keep running away like this," she said.
"I know," said Adrain.
"But what can we do?" She asked.
"I don't know," said Emily. "I've been trying to get away from Crow almost my whole life."
"I never knew my brother was working with Crow and I've been trying to get out of the ways of my family my whole life," said Adrian.
"I know it's hard when friends or family betray you. I've had it happen before," said Emily.
"It is," said Adrian with a sad look on his face. Emily looked at him.
"I hate that I have to go on with this curse of having a dark side," said Emily.
"Same here. I hate having to go on with the curse of being part vampire," said Adrian. They looked at each other. They were both so alike. They've had hard lives and curses to bear. Emily got onto her paws and started to run.
"Bet you can't catch me," said Emily running.
"Oh, yeah," said Adrian running after her. They ran across the field laughing as pokemon watched as they ran past. Adrian finally caught up to Emily and they got near the mountian. They kept on running until they got to the mountain.
"That was a lot of fun. I never knew you could run so fast," said Adrian trying to catch his breath.
"Yeah it was a lot of fun," said Emily trying to catch her breath. Emily and Adrian hiked up to the top of the mountain. When they got to the top they looked over the forest and the field. They slept there that night. The next morning the wind blew very cold. It was only a few days until winter was to start. They explored the mountain during the next few days and by night they came back to the summit.
A week later...
It was the 6th day of winter and Adrian and Emily were at the summit. They had a long day of playing and exploring the mountain. The two of them sat down at the summit under a tree. Then, it started to snow. Emily looked at the snow and smiled.
"It's finally snowing," she said happily.
"Yeah," said Adrian smiling. Then, he looked out at the horizon and then at Emily. Her green eyes glittered. Their eyes met and Emily blushed.
"Emily," said Adrian.
"Yes?" asked Emily.
"I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time but-" said Adrian but he was cut off.
"Just say it," said Emily. Adrian closed his eyes and breathed. Then, he opened his eyes.
"Emily. I love you," said Adrian. Emily blushed and then looked into his eyes.
"I love you too," said Emily. Then, they kissed the snow falling around them.
