***I asked for 6 word sentence suggestions on twitter (woot _art) And one of them was "When did this thing get here?" (thanks @UsiHaagenti)***Breathe in deep. Shelly's lungs fought to inflate against the rib cage-crushing pressure of her bust. Deeper. Now hold. Shoulders back. Suck it in. She turned to inspect the slimmer profile of her waist in the bathroom mirror. Couldn't it just magically stay like this forever? If it did, she promised to take better care of her tummy: no more fast food lunches or midnight snacks, and she'd discover a way tone it up that didn't involve kneeing herself repeatedly in the tits. The illusion was almost over; her abs were spasming, weary of their corset duties. Plus she was about to pass out from oxygen deprivation.
"Hmm- whatcha doin'?"
"WAAAAAAGH!" Suddenly roommate! It took a while for Shelly to catch her breath, but she retained her red face. "Jeez Louise- a little privacy maybe?"
"The door was wide open," Lou noted.
"Well then don't sneak up on me like that."
"I thought you saw me in the mirror, but I guess not. Too busy flirting with with your own reflection." Lou made a kissy face at the mirror and nudged Shelly with her bony elbow. "Mwah! Mwah!"
"More like imagining what could be."
Louise imitated the exaggerated posture Shelly was just in, thrusting her chest out. "Not busty enough yet? So greedy! You'd think you'd be satisfied with the generous gifts God's given you."
"That's not what- I wasn't..." Bigger? She glanced down into her expansive cleavage. Good lord. Shelly's cheeks were broiling with embarrassment. "I was sucking in my gut, not pushing out my boobs. It's like: when did this thing get here?" She grabbed double handfuls of squishy stomach roll. Usually she avoided touching it, a feeble way of denying its existence. Her squeezing fingers worked their way from her sides to the center, fat deepening as she went, her anxiety growing as she gauged the scale of her problem area.
Lou forced herself to look away from Shelly's worried kneading, discreetly swallowing a mouthful of saliva before speaking. "When did it get here? I think I could put together a decent timeline. First came the breakup, then the holiday season piled on, then of course there was the re-breakup, followed by several stressful projects in a row at work, all leading up to now. Not that I've been keeping tabs on your weight."
"Ugh. I guess that covers the 'why' too. The hard part's gonna be what I do about it. Exercise for sure." Shelly gulped. "Diet. Can't keep medicating with food."
"You want help? I can clean the ice cream bars out of the freezer."
"Oh- those things?" There was at least 3 boxes of Gippemmi Super Premiums there: sea salt dark chocolate, caramel macchiato, and toffee milk chocolate. The thought of tossing all those expensive treats into the garbage made her stomach flip- and growl. Hopefully Lou didn't hear. "Nah- I guess I'll take care of that later."
