Im curious to a few things;
How long you've been modelling for and how you learnt to use 3ds as ive seen a bunch of renders on DA now and I would like to give it a go.

i got 3dmax r3 in 1999, but i had no tutorials with it and i wasnt taking any fancy art classes with it. so i had to fool around with the program for about a few months to a year to learn the basics myself. later in time i started looking at some tutorials on specific details concerning the modelin process.
its the best way to learn, i think

subtle but effective, most noticeable was the adition of the minituret, next noticed several of the tanks's detailings had been moved over as well.
but the apc is classic, and was from its early wip stages

nope, i frankly do not see a resemblance other than the head which isnt nearly shaped the same as the CIS battle droid

nope, i modeled this from scratch, asimo is not an exoskeleton like this is anyway.
ok look, you wanna know exactly how original this is? i started with the chest plate wanting it to be human armor, but i was still a NOOB at modeling humans back then, so i made it into a robot instead. thats about it.

Yeah, they look nothing like battledroids. If anything they remind me somewhat of the white-carapace Combine soldiers from HalfLife 2...
Anyway, good APC design. Looks designed to take a real pounding

Those are some huge wheels on those things. Anyway, they look awesome! Drive one of those to school and never worry about getting in an accident. If you did... you wouldn't notice it.
