Description
This is the original base image from which the Wheel of Time fantasy image was developed. I know that many of the people who watch my gallery do so because I tend to create images based upon "realism" NOT fantasy.

But this was one of those times that as an artist you get "called" to do something different. I think it is important to hear those inner voices, even when the call is very contrary to our usual out put or style. In a way, it is like giving thanks for the gift of creativity. For myself, this is important, because I have discovered that when I do not heed those calls, when i push them down or ignore them, other new ones, stop coming.

But now that I have fulfilled this "duty" to the creative, here is the realistic image.

This image also forms part of the "Between Friends" Gallery. It is located along the Pembina Valley and looks south into the US.
