Sketched on paper then done in Flash cs4, pure vector graphics, a few gradients especially on the back portion... Used photoshop only to assemble the final image.
Edit 1 (29.10.): well here's the finished up version, for now. I've added highlights to the tiny objects as well as fixed up some errors that I've noticed
Edit 2 (9.11): WOOOT! Over a hundred faves! The general reactions have been great and I really hope this gets among top50!
Edit 3 (11.11.): Well, balls. Only over 200 votes while some have over a thousand

Ya, I don't really worry about things that much
The only thing I don't like is that because of the popular sorting system the people who's works get better exposition (watchers, groups) have better chances of getting the votes than those who's work isn't on the frontpage -.-

I'd love to get into the top50 but it seems to be more of a popularity contest than real voting since most people will just check out/vote on the first few pages of the popular filter -.-

I knoooow it really annoys me!! I think there should be something like "25 ppl are chosen by popular vote and the other 25 are being chosen by dA staff."
But I can understand the dA people; there will be thousands of entries and they can't look through all of them D:

What I'd like to se is like what Valve did with the tf2 video contest, you'd get 2 videos and you'd say which one was better, but this time with t-shirt designs and instead of just "this one is better" you'd have a tie option as well... Then some kind of algorithm could come up with final scores based on people's votes on which design was better.
Dunno if that voting system would work here or not
