Description
A very pretty (and very pregnant) European Mantis. She was slowly dragging herself across the parking lot in our apartment complex when I pulled in. So I went over there and put my hand out, and she crawled right on. It was tricky adjusting my focus and shooting while holding the mantis in the other hand, but I managed.
She was staring right at the goldenrod through most of this, so I put her on them when I was about done.9-14-2015 Wiscasset, Maine.
