As far as I can gather from looking back through my sketchbooks, these seem to be the first sketches I did of Chris's design, though I though I drew some others before...but i can't seem to find them or remember which ones they were.

...Actually, looking back at the picture above this as i'm writing...apparently these were the first ones I drew of him. You can see where I experimented with how far the fur would go up his cheek. Initially I drew it lower, but then raised it up between his eyes (slightly visible on the middle drawing) but then erased that and settled halfway, just reaching the bridge of the nose. Something else I'm noticing that i lost in a lot of his drawings done after these... the fur curves up around his eye towards his cat-ear! I'll have to make sure to draw that correctly from now on.

also...behold. a crappily written russion accent. or at least it's supposed to be.
