After a moment of looking you can't not notice that it very emotional art and contains a lot of sadness and disappointment.
Those gray colors just sharpens those feelings of sadness and disappointment.
So surely that is a fascinating artwork, well done!
really love it.

Tout simplement magnifique... l'image vous saisit dès que vous la regarder. Très très beau travail. Une mÒitrise parfaite tant au niveau de la technique que de ce qui est traduit par émotions... Félicitations.

Wow, you've beautifully stylised the image. It has an almost ethereal feel to it in its passivity of emotion, very subtle, very demure. I Love the way you've chosen a slightly warmer tone to the skin, and a slight touch on the lips cheeks and nose. There's also a very gentle feel to the picture as regards the strokes, they afford an indefinite nature which I feel lets me be drawn into the piece. That is to say it greatly improves immersion with the portrait, at least dissociation from reality that all great works do. It's a style I feel I should investigate.
