This is one of my first pictures taken with my first "real" camera Canon EOS 300. Went to the zoo and at first I didnt see any wolves but then when I was about to leave they came running and just sat down infront of me as If they where saying "go on then, take your picture!" These are my absolute favorite animals so I just had to submit this pic even though its old.Related content

I think this photo is great as is.
The wolf standing on the log adds to the photo and doesnt take away at all.
If anything it enhances the dark wolves dominance.
not a cropping fan.

i love this picture! its awesome! they have been my fave animal since i was in 2nd grade! no cats in my house lol! tht is cool tht they got in a position like that! i have a pic from a 5th grade trip to a zoo and i saw two timber wolves and they both ran on top of a rock that looked like that one and they turned so they both were looking diff ways! lol

I love the dark wolf sitting on the rock! If you cropped it to focus more on him (and eliminated the blurry foreground-thing in the bottom left corner, which is somewhat distracting) it would be a great "portrait" shot. Excellent contrast with the B&W, also.
