He voraciously consumes knowledge in the subjects that earn his interest, and while many would consider his intellect a boon, it is a facet of his personality that often leaves him bored when a subject of learning has been thoroughly exhausted. Azuolas covets power, and he enjoys toying with the emotional states of others for his own amusement. With his heavy use of sarcasm, he often appears deceptively kind with a mocking politeness which makes it difficult to discern his thoughts. Very few individuals, even those of his own pack, have been willing to trust him.
♦ Wise enough not to engage against opponents without a form of advantage at his disposal, Azuolas is willing to bide his time and play the long game. HISTORY
Raised within a family secretly devoted to the old ways, Azuolas' mother Ieva grew up fed on the stories of the wolves' fall from godhood. Over time she came to loathe the peaceful lifestyle of the pack, and vowed that her children would be returned to their rightful place as the Gods of this world. On a mission to find a male worthy to sire these new "gods", she sought out those who shared her values and formulated her plan.
Condemned as evil and a practice unseen since ancient times, blood was long believed to be a source of strength. If but drinking the blood of another wolf was said to give one power, what would a life earn? Ieva pondered this question and the morality of it even as her belly stirred with life. Could the life of one wolf elevate her unborn children to a position of godhood? She prayed. To spirits long forgotten in the dark places of the island. To the spirits of the wolven gods of a time long before her own. To the legendary humans that had one inhabited the island and worshiped the land the wolves had walked upon. She prayed until both body and breath yielded to sleep plagued with disorienting dreams. Dreams that held her answer - or so she believed. Blood sacrifice.
