Description
I've not been able to paint the last few days so I decided to try and write up some sort of basic tutorial on how I colour from a greyscale image.I'm still learning myself so I find it quite hard to give advice but hopefully a few people my find something of help in there.
Feel free to leave me a comment if there is anything you don't understand and I'll do my best to help out. Also I may do some more tutorials in the future so if there's anything you'd like me to cover let me know.

Good stuff, similar to the way i work most of the time, except i haven't really got my head round working with the layer options, i usually do the overlay colours then just paint straight colour on top till i'm half way happy with it

I agree, you have to finish with just painting on a normal opaque layer or the colours just end up looking flat and glazed on.

I was actually always curious as to how people went about doing that.
I've been having loads of trouble with painting my sketches, so I'mma try this method and see if it works.

This helps me ALOT.
You should try to make a speeddrawing video tutorial where we can see everything from start.
Not something this hard afcourse, but maybe something a bit simpler?

Thanks man, glad you found it helpful. I started a new youtube channel with the intention of doing some videos. I'll try and record something soon.
