Jemik would be lying if she said she wasn't a little stressed out about the new addition to the family. Sure Matheo seems ecstatic (the young gro wouldn't stop chanting about how he was a big brother now), but Jemik was nervous about being able to properly care for the new kid.
The new kid was a quill, and she knew nothing about quills outside of that flamboyant Spa and the bookish Giacomo.

So when a purple biped came up and offered to go for a round of drinks, Jemik didn't really think of the potential indications when she said yes.
