Yes I shit you not, in my continuity, Snively is in reality....A Probe!

Here's how it went down.

The Freedom Fighters have collected all the Chaos Emeralds, and journeyed all the way to Robotnik's fortress to save the Master Emerald and the entity that resides inside...They have busted through many obstacles and pushed through many enemies until they finally made their way to the villains' throne room...There, Snively had intervened once again, and fought Sonic once more...This time, Sonic pulled out his super form just to end the battle quickly and with one kick....Snively dissolved....into digital dust?!....Then what emerged was a blue and orange probe...Something that struck a familiarity to Nicole who was also in reality a probe like this one...Then Nicole remembered in her data banks...This probe went by the name of "Metallix"...A once respected probe that literally had the mind and heart of a brilliant scientist...Snively's brain and heart were inside this probe....There Metallix told them the full story...About out of all the possible futures in all of Mobius's multiverse that he has seen...the only future where peace and harmony exists is the one where Robotnik is its tyrannic ruler and in any other future, there will lead to only hardship and despair...The reason why he truly killed so many is because to him, their deaths were necessary, in fact, in order for the future to be truly revealed, Sonic and the Freedom Fighters must also perish...But Metallix(Snively) held off their deaths for his research on core babies and how to utilize that into the future, because Robotnik can't conquer anything unless he has the best tools, gear, and the greatest of power and weaponry....He said that the only way for Mobius to survive and prosper...is to surrender your freedom, or die!...He knew that the original Freedom Fighters, as well as the Knothole Kingdom would have refused no matter what, so they had to die.

Of course, Sonic and company refused to surrender any ounce of freedom, because to do that, would mean having to become slaves or hostages, and everyone else would never be able to think freely again, and never be allowed to live unless their vile master says so, and just because Robotnik's future sounds like harmony to him, doesn't mean anyone else wouldn't dare try to rise up if they wanted free will....Metallix stated that free will is the universe's greatest lie, in reality, the universe wants to be controlled, to be conquered, because the universe is filled with so many "children" who can't think for themselves, even if they say differently...Metallix continues in stating that they have no choice in the matter...Robotnik must win in order to save Mobius...Sonic states "We don't need Robotnik's evil to save Mobius, we will save Mobius on our own!"...Metallix laughs at Sonic as if he were an infant whining about his bottle being taken away from him...Metallix speaks "You can try, try as hard as you could, but you'll never save Mobius!...Mobius will be unified under Robotnik's rule...and you can't stop us!"...Just like that Robotnik, Metallix, and Scratch retreated to a space shuttle to what was finally finished and operational in space...."The Golden Egg!"
