Athena hates the Earth Xenomorphs because they once killed her brother Riley. Preddy wanted to fish for Six because she liked it. He jumped into the water, but didn't expect to run into an Aquamorph patrol. Now Preddy served as bait for the Xenos from his own hive. Athena decided to tell her story to him personally.

Athena: I once had a brother, but he sacrificed himself to save me from people like you.
Preddy: I'm sorry
Athena: Everyone said so before you, but no one asked for forgiveness. I, too, am sorry that you will have to replenish my collection of victims. It's a pity there is nowhere to go and this place will be what you will see before you die.
