I have been experimenting with the "Happy Painting" style where you simply just paint. No rules, no limitations, just paint what feels got just at that moment.
This concept sound super easy but I find it actually quite difficult to forget about the colors of an elephant, for instance. Even scribbling over your finished painting still feels terrifying.
But it is also super relaxing and satisfying. Not to worry too much about it looking realistic or not, just painting for the fun of it! And this is perfect to make these "mistakes" because everything is just a "happy accident".

That said I did not have a bigger plan for this watercolor painting other than a quick sketch of the elephant in my sketchbook. I liked it so much that I wanted to further illustrate it in a fun way. I chose the colors on the go, grabbing what felt good at that time. And I love the outcome! I would have never created something so colorful if I would have planed it out at first.
