Description Chapter Three.

“And your blowjobs suck!” Christian yelled after throwing the last of the half nude groupies off the tour bus, slamming the door after them.
“Pun intended?” Jason said with a smirk after Christian was back inside.
Christian smiled, threw open the door and yelled, “Pun not intended!”
As he was about to close the door, he noticed Vivian’s hooded form slowly approaching the open door. “Viv!” he shouted.
Vivian looked up, and in the light streaming from the open door, Christian saw his swollen, red eyes.
“Vivian…” he said quietly as he held the door open. “What’s wrong?”
Vivian slouched inside and threw himself facedown on one of the empty couches.
Sammy looked up and quickly disappeared into one of the areas in the back.
Christian stared after him and turned towards Jason, who was oblivious to everything else but the mildly interesting program running on the television.
Christian sighed and started towards the back to find Theon. As he passed the room with the bunks, he heard someone talking quietly. He cracked the door open to find Maria and Theon in each other’s arms on someone’s bunk. Theon was talking quietly to Maria, who was crying.
Theon sighed and gently kissed Maria on her forehead. “…And I never thought that I’d see you again either, but that’s not the point,” he murmured. “I can’t just tell everyone that you’re in the band now. I know that was your deepest desire when we were dating, but...”
“I thought you loved me.” Maria choked tearfully.
“It was just an affair…but over time, you know I did. I did. But I don’t love you anymore because…because we’ve been so far apart and I’ve moved on-“
“An affair? Surprise surprise.”
Theon looked up to see Christian standing in the doorway, arms folded with a frown on his face.
“Hey-“
“Look, Theon,” Christian snapped. “None of us ever knew about this. You should explain what happened because to us, she’s just a slut that you pulled from the crowd at one of our shows.” he spat at Maria.
“Don’t say that about her!” Theon had jumped up, his arms held protectively around Maria’s trembling form. “She’s dying, if you hadn’t noticed!”
Christian sighed irritably. “You have some explaining to do. Get out here.”
Then he brushed out of the room and ran off to find Sammy.
Theon glanced down at Maria. “Come,” he whispered, holding her close. “They deserve to know.”
He took her hand and led her out into the front lounge.
Jason looked up to see Theon and Maria sit down on one of the couches. He sighed and turned off the television as Christian and Sammy arrived. This was obviously going to be a while. He turned to see Vivian asleep on the couch next to him. He prodded him and Vivian jerked awake with a grunt. Julian glanced up from his place on the floor.
“So what’s this all about?” Jason asked, surveying the scene.
Everyone except Sammy was watching Theon and Maria, as if expecting an explanation. Sammy had his back turned to the scene, a beer in his hand, his eyes red and cold.
Theon cautiously cleared his throat, feeling everyone’s eyes on him. “This…this is Maria,” he began uncomfortably. “We had an affair back in Finland. She loved me, she really did, and over time I began to return those feelings as well.”
He paused to glance at Maria. “I don’t love her anymore. We’ve been apart for too long, and I’ve moved on. She-“
“I had a friend take me here,” Maria cut in, her hands shaking. “I needed to see him again. My dream…my passion has always been to be in this band because that’s what I need to do. But Theon refused…” She trailed off.
“I refused because nobody would have ever allowed me to live with my decision,” Theon finished, glancing around the room. “She doesn’t need to be with us, she needs to be with someone else. Most importantly,” he said quietly, running his hands up Maria’s thin, wounded arms. “She needs to be healthy once more.” he whispered, his eyes slowly meeting hers.
Julian saw Theon brush a few stray tears from Maria’s cheek that had fallen from her eyes. He laughed. “You say you don’t love her anymore?” he said lazily. “Looks like you still do.”
Theon looked up at Julian with hatred in his eyes. “You need to understand,” he snapped. “That this is not an act of love. I don’t love her anymore. This is an act of kindness and caring. Not love. She doesn’t need me. She needs someone who will always be there for her, and I can’t do that.”
It was quiet. The only sound that could distract from the endless silence that filled the room was the quiet murmur of the bus engine.
Sammy stared out of the window at the passing cars, turning over his dilemma with Vivian in his head. He was not sure at all about his feelings towards him. He wanted him to be alright, but did that mean he loved him? Could Vivian replace a woman’s love for him?
“Sammy?”
A voice startled him out of his thoughts. Apparently the topic of conversation had turned to Vivian’s brief disappearance and the reason for his bitter breakup with his unfaithful lover. He noticed that Julian, Theon and Maria had already retired to bed.
“So why did Vivian break up with Haley? I thought she was nice…” Jason asked, leaning casually against the fridge.
That statement prompted a harsh glare from Vivian. Sammy stole a brief glance at him and quickly shook his head at Jason. “Look, she cheated on him with four other guys, that’s all I got out of him, don’t even say another word or…”
He sighed, drained the last of his beer and threw the empty can in the trash.
“Bed…” he grunted and stomped off.
Jason raised an eyebrow and continued to pick absentmindedly at his nails. “Hey Viv… can I get you anything?” he asked.
“Pillow…blanket…thanks.”
Christian retrieved the television remote and snapped the television on to check for any interesting medi-dramas as Jason walked off to find a pillow and a blanket for Vivian.
“Hey Viv,” he said quietly while flipping channels. “Sorry about…you know. It should have rightfully turned out much better.”
Vivian sniffed and buried his face in his jacket. Christian sighed and continued flipping channels.
Jason came and gently pushed Vivian aside, fluffed the pillow and waited for him to lie down. Then he gently placed the blanket over his thin form and kneeled down next to him.
“Hey man,” he whispered. “I’m really sorry. Truly. But one day…another woman will enter your life and you will forget that Haley was ever a part of it, I promise you that. But…you’ll be okay.”
Vivian sighed and closed his eyes. Jason comfortingly patted him on the shoulder and turned to Christian, who had just turned the television off and was hanging up his coat and scarf.
“Anything good on?”
Christian shrugged his shoulders. “Just porn. To be honest,” he sighed. “I’m tired of naked breasts. I haven’t had a decent groupie in ages.”
Jason chuckled. “Yeah…they haven’t gotten any better.”
Christian yawned. “What do you say…bed?”
Jason nodded, said good night to Vivian and followed Christian to the bunks.
