After a couple weeks worth of training, Elena warms Alevia up in a light lunge before introducing the saddle and first ride, Alevia responds nicely to all of the cues provided by Elena including a little flexion groundwork, which shows Alevia is ready for her saddling. "good girl, easy girl" Elena said as she begins desensitizing to the saddle pad, with little reaction Elena is able to lay the pad over Alevias back, she then places the saddle over her back and flaps the stirrups so Alevia can get used to any scary noises up top, Alevia nervously resists at first but accepts the saddle with trust it won't hurt her, a good result made Elena very pleased, she tightens a girth softly and leads Alevia to a mounting block where she then lays partially on her back giving lots of pats. Alevia puts her ears back listening and debating on if she should spook or remain calm, Elena goes off her judgement of body language and then gently sits on her back carefully pulling one rein to the side in case Alevia reacts, "what an amazing good girl you are! you're so good" Elena dismounts giving Alevia horse cookies calling it a day after a good session.
