...yes, I am aware of that fact. But for a time, there were theories going around about who Ash's father was, and one of those theories involved the leader of Team Rocket being the man who got busy with Delia Ketchum, with the only source of that idea being related is the Pokemon Musical, a show that hasn't even aired in a long time. And yes, I'm quite aware that this theory is a little dead in the water, considering Ash and Giovanni met a couple times, and that theory is never acknowledged...

However, for a certain fanfiction universe, I decided to rely heavily on alternate universes and certain ideas that were commonplace back then, and this included the idea that Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town may ironically be the son of Team Rocket's evil leader... sort of like a 'Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker' or 'Star Lord/Ego' scenario. I know it's ridiculous, but let's just say I have something planned for 'Stars of a Journey', and it involves Giovanni and Ash being related in some capacity...

So, even though this theory is ridiculous, I still have a soft spot for the idea of Ash Ketchum being Giovanni's son. But what do you guys think?
