Description Ohohoho, it's my turtle self attending !

So just to reduce the douchebaggery attitude I decided to go for pigtails this time around. Pigtails always helps one look sweeter! ...sort of. NO, I AM NOT FLIPPING YOU OFF. I'm tipping the brim of my hat, dammit! Three fingers, ugh.

And yes, sarashi FTW! Even if I can't actually tie my sarashi well enough for it to wrap around my boobs properly irl.

And OHOHOHO my plastron ended up looking like abs! SCORE.

Height is 5'2", but I put in a couple extra pixels height for the hat and slight boot heels.

She's in my class?
Dude, all the students are in all of our classes
Don't let appearances fool you, she's an excellent student to depend on when you need help. She may make a fine teacher herself someday.
Gotta go, something about seein' Yapi in the principal's office...

Aw what! That's awesome! I'm loving the tilt of the head. And those eyes! And crazy-ass hair! How on earth can you make a turtle woman not only resemble yourself but also look sexy/badass without going for overused cliche's??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

yapi In reply to raevene [2010-03-31 22:22:44 +0000 UTC]

Haha, but I did use cliche's! Spiked bracers, biker hat, and sarashi, all accessories of tough guys! XD Although I didn't mean for her to come out as sexy o_O (Although maybe I should have made her fatter, haha)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

raevene In reply to yapi [2010-03-31 22:52:43 +0000 UTC]

Duude, being fat so does not make anyone less sexy! Peeps are starting to lean back towards curvier girls again these days anyhoo! But there is a certain...smoldering-ness to her... Yeah ok, that's not a word but it expresses what I mean without making odd grunting noises. For that, I'd have to be in the vicinity...and as much as I'd looove to see your face if you suddenly heard weird grunting noises from behind you, it's just not doable. Le sigh.

And hey, I was talking about body type and pose cliche's! More in regards to making a char look attractive than tough. Thus why while you carry off the tough chica with major thumbs up, there's still that MMMM factor!

I make sense to myself...

Haha, I think that's mostly in the west, though. Thin girls are still the way to go in Asian countries, so I'm still a rather acquired taste over here XD In fact, it happens both in the Philippines and here in China that someone will just randomly hand me a flyer for a weight loss program while I'm walking. It took a while to remove that instinct to accept a piece of paper that's been handed to you, but I'm glad I've deprogrammed from that now!

Hahaha strangely enough, I think I know what kind of grunting noises you're talking about! I think I do them too

OH, haha, so that's what you meant! Well, I do like sexy poses, but those just look weird and awkward on a girl like me, so I won't even try XDDDD

raevene In reply to yapi [2010-04-01 10:21:11 +0000 UTC]

*snicker* An acquired taste...

That's terrible! How rude of them! I'd want to shove that flyer where the sun don't shine if it happened to me! But unfortunately for me I feel terrible ignoring people. I always end up taking things offered, stuffing it in my bag and hurrying on. Same with the people that beg outside shops etc. I feel like an evil person say 'Sorry' to them and walking away. And they always say bless you after! Argh! I know it's probably a guilt trip but I'm a soft touch in such cases.

This once I was walking along town with a friend and some guy started walking with us, trying to get us to stop and talk to him. It was for some charity for children in Africa or whatever. His sales pitch was that we could donate a pound, which was pretty much a drink at a club. So could we give up one drink?

When that didn't work, he started getting flustered and saying he only needed a moment to speak to us, and that it would save a child. I said we were extremely busy and he came back with 'Too busy to save a child?'. We shook him, but I spent the rest of the day thinking I'd killed a child...or several children!

Oh my, you better watch out then if you ever visit a third world country! Like in the Philippines, you won't have volunteers trying to ask money from poor people, you'll have the poor people themselves beg in front of you! Like you'd be eating in McDonald's and outside your window will be a couple of children looking at you and asking for your food.

It's sad, but after a while, you do get desensitized to it, unfortunately.

But I do know what you mean. I was at a bookstore once and this woman who was my mom's age and dressed well enough came up to me and asked if I'd like to buy anything from her stamp collection so she could buy groceries. I told her no as kindly and politely as I could, but man, I imagined my mom being reduced to that, and until now, like 7 years later, it still haunts me that I didn't help her out >_<

Hah. I've visited places like the Dominican republic etc, in areas that thrive on tourists. It can be utterly overwhelming, but I think I've wised up a bit as to which are just sucking you dry and others that need it. But then you gotta take into mind that by helping out one, it would be unfair not to do so for the others, so wouldn't it be better to not at all? etc etc etc etc!!

Man, if I were rich...

On the other hand, visiting places that are off the beaten track is perhaps the best part of any trip. You get the beggers, but you also get to see how people from that culture really live...it's utterly amazing. I love that. Sooo much.

Unfortunately it's been a while since I went anywhere outside of the country. I used to go with the parents till I moved out. Now I'm poor and in desperate need of a tan. Perhaps I could set up shop on some street corner...

yapi In reply to raevene [2010-04-01 14:11:23 +0000 UTC]

Oh I hear you. When I visit other countries, I actually keep the touristy things to a minimum. I like to do everyday things and kinda see how it's like if I lived there. OMG, the last time I was in Tokyo (which was last summer) I spent WAAAAAAY too much time in a manga cafe! I mean, yay, I'm in Tokyo, and what am I doing? Eating vending machine takoyaki while lying down in my cubicle watching Harry Potter in Japanese while looking at stuff on DA. Hooray for the Japanese experience!

Oh, I miss traveling with parents! You get to stay in nice hotels (as opposed to the cheap hostels I can afford, haha), and they pay for everything! I only have enough money to be a budget traveler (and THANK YOU, couchsurfing.org!)

raevene In reply to yapi [2010-04-01 14:31:51 +0000 UTC]

Oh my GAWD what is this couchsurfing shiz?! Amazing! I gotta get in on this! *is boggled*

Man, I've never been to Tokyo, that sounds awesome. Though...I can't speak Japanese in the least. But I agree, it's definitely about the experience! And everyday things...yessss. Absolutely. Wow...I gotta look into this surfing on couches stuff. I'm very excited.

yapi In reply to raevene [2010-04-01 14:41:45 +0000 UTC]

It's an entire network of people all over the world who are willing to let complete strangers stay on their couch! You'll save a bundle, and meet new people too! It's awesome

Last summer I stayed at a (super duper cheap) hostel in Nagoya, a guest house in Nara, a youth hostel in Kyoto, then couchsurfed for Nagoya and Tokyo. Saved me a bundle, since those last two were the most expensive places to get a hotel!

Here's my profile over there. It needs to be update though XD [link]

That does sound super spiffy. Perhaps something I can indulge in over the summer. You live an exciting life! I am envious! Do you go alone to these places? That'd be scary!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

yapi In reply to raevene [2010-04-01 15:24:02 +0000 UTC]

Yup, I travel alone quite often. It's very hard for me to travel with a companion since people always seem to want a plan, and want to get as many sights in as possible. I find that fun too, and I do travel with people once in a while, but I find it relaxing to travel alone too so I can go at my own pace and do quirky things that tourists don't usually bother doing ^^

When you get used to it, it's actually not that scary!

How does a creature with only three fingers flip people off? Maybe use the British version?

yapi In reply to Artificer-Urza [2010-03-31 16:45:08 +0000 UTC]

I don't think it works with the British version either, since there's still too little fingers for you to tell what they're really trying to do with their hands.

Maybe they can just do the sign language for "asshole". Or that gesture where lift your fist up while slapping your bicep.
