Description

The dusty sun was setting as a small gathering of Kebs sifted into the arena, finding spots to sit. Russel and Rooster sat next to each other and greeted each other as new companions, unaware of the towering Keb that was taking her seat behind them. Cooper sat by himself, watching eagerly over the edge.

Up in the rafter areas, Ara and Levi gently placed themselves, Levi settling himself in and starting to brew tea with his mini brewer while Ara seemed to be writing on a huge cardboard. The air in the arena was excited but quiet, with just the chattering going on. In the arena itself it looked like some Kebs were already duking it out, play snarling at each other and making sure their fangs were near misses for the thrill and that it was paw, not claws, that made contact. Some of them had taken the magic to transform into their anthro forms, donning gladiator gear and yelling war cries at each other as the sound of clanging and thumping of shields started to rumble through the stadium.

Ara whistled loudly as the bright pastel colors of Prada made himself known, walking through the corridor just under the seats into the arena. He squinted slightly as the sun hit him, and remembered last moment to toss his beloved glasses up to Ara to keep safe. He then took his time looking around for a worthy opponent, wanting to show off a bit. Dusting around towards the center, his paws kicking up sand and making challenging snorting sounds, stood Rowan, a decently buff Kebanzu with forward curved horns like a bull and a long but plush fox-like tail. The two challengers met eyes, and Prada gave a smirk as if saying 'You wanna go?'. Rowan grinned back, showing all his sharp teeth and nodded in agreement. For a moment, they continued to stare each other down, sizing each other up.

All of a sudden the smaller and lither Prada burst forward, bowing his head but keeping his eyes trained on the other Keb. Rowan sturdied down into a hunker, but just as Prada got close enough, the cheeky boy kicked in his heels and jutted to the side. From the sidelines, a sarcastic 'OLE!' was heard from his small band of friends, and then a ripple of chuckles.

Rowan grunted but ended up conceding into laughter as well as Prada whipped around and flashed his tail, the smile on his face still but a fierceness in his eyes. Rowan stamped a paw and brought the other up, going in for a slam. Prada waited patiently and, at the last moment, brought up his right arm and surprisingly met it with the same force, keeping Rowan suspended easily.

Ara wolf whistled again, before leaning towards Levi.

"He's actually seeming pretty well matched, I didn't know he could fight, did you?" When Levi didn't answer right away, she turned to him and balked as she saw the lad sipping at some tea in a pretty little teal cup. That wasn't what grabbed her attention, but the first aid kit neatly tucked under his other paw. She gave him a bemused look and waited for him to finish sipping. He didn't seem to notice or give any attention to the look, now watching the fight with half-lidded eyes.

"Not really. I figured with all his primping and pampering he'd be acting more like Taurus out there." Ara turned again and looked for the bull-nose-ringed Keb, and sure enough he was streaking around the outer edge, his tail slightly tucked under and trailing behind him with his ears tucked as he shouted at a more boldly colored black and red Keb who was baring all their teeth and giving a good chase. She snorted amusedly, but then startled, as well as Levi, when a resounding snarl echoed.

They turned their attention back to Prada and Rowan to find the two locked together, both showing their teeth and back on their hind paws. Though it looked fierce, the watching Kebs could tell that the ones fighting were still holding back as to not hurt each other, but the fierceness of it all could not be denied.

A loud, resonating holler made Russel and Rooster flinch from watching as Valkyrie whooped from behind them, cheering the two competitors on. Rooster, amazed at someone louder than him, looked up in bewilderment while Russell simply tried to hold on, the very volume coming from the God-like Kebanzu sending his mane flying every which a way.

The battle continued on for at least another good 30-40 minutes while friends and fans alike cheered at this newfound fighting spirit in the snooty Keb, before both conceded with friendly slaps on each other shoulders. Prada pranced over to the edge and, with great agility and ease, hopped over the margin to join his friends, where Ara patted him on the back and praised him while Levi simply gave him a secret smile.
