Wow, that was extremely brave of you to go for that. XD Especially with the horn on his head to make things even more complicated for you. Love how frosty and cold everything looks, like there's a glaze of ice over it all--in a way I wish the trees were tinted with a touch more blue (like the highlights here>>> [link] ), as the brown by itself is great on the horse for contrast, but a bit jarring on the trees. Love the sense of "ground" going on though--it's very clear where the bottom of the picture is...something that often gets lost in shots like this.

haha thanks! I had a picture sketched out and was in the middle of the background colouring, but it just didn't look right, I kept on having a vision of him looking up for some reason ! thanks for the link, its something I will take into consideration on my next snow attempt, I don't always realize, how snow behaves, in the climate I live in.

I love this! Truly, those trees make me feel as though I'm going to fall right through the screen and into that world. I adore this!

Also, hoof-print-through-snow LOVE! <3 I adore the detail of those tracks. They really lead your eye right into the picture and to the main element of this painting (dat pretty Pollux).
