Description "dear sir, where are you going?"
"to the fair princess' tower"
I glanced at the castle, sky scraping
And twitched my lips, my answer

I went back to picking the precious blooms
but the thorns just pierced my flesh
And  the tears that fell from my solemn eyes
is not just for the blood i shed

The knight in a black stallion
with his armor glistening in silver
his love for  the fair princess Marion
The chastity far more lovelier

With a basket at hand,
and a heavy heart
I set my way to the palace
And my knees tremble from where i stand
And my eyes filled with crystal droplets
i caught a glimpse of her face

she brushes her long golden hair
and oh, she is so fair
the golden shiny crown is set
at her tresses barely wet
and the pearls on her porcelain skin
can make the haughtiest peddler grin

She is a lucky little lady
Innocent, without a fault
Aside from being the castle's lovely
she can make a thousand troops halt

And he prince in all his glory
Kissed the princess marion's hand
and her eyes were bright and happy
and she loves this fairest man

little did she know that behind
the prince's honest smile,
is a dirty little secret
kept not only for a while
but will be hidden for a long, long time

and i touched my still flat belly
still knowing that inside
a child, fair and lovely
will be forced  to hide
and i reminisce with a forced smile
and repressed tears
the reason why
i suffer like this

it was a beautiful night
a time when everything seemed right
i wait for the roses to bloom by the moonlight
and hear not, a silent flight
i see not,
i feel rough
as he forced me his way
but distinct i remember
his minty, woody musk
and a voice that say
"let no one know what has become
for i will slit your throat
here's a bag full of silver
and now of you go"

silenced was i, but not of fear,
for it was something else
i learned to love this cunning prince
far love him more than myself
i love  him the reason never clear
but i know this is for real

i hear now, his baritone voice
floating in mid air
what? he said he made his choice, and it is...
the princess fair.

my legs, that froze found strength to run
and away from pain, i strive
i find myself above a cliff
where ocean's harsh waves jived

i cry once more for the angel,
i will never know
and wish, i whisper happiness
for the love he never show

farewell dear prince,
for you will never be mine
bring my love along your way
and may it let you shine

farewell dear princess
your joy is at stake
so i will jump to meet my fate
and my bones, shattered
along with my heart
and the joy, o joy
that i'll never know,
flew swiftly away
the day he hushed me
"off u go!"
