It had been a few days since the children had gotten acquainted with Regis and things seemed to be rather quiet. Or at least as quiet as can be with children around for the holidays. Not that Regis minded much. He loved the company of children.

However, the one child he loved being around the most was Vladimir. It was only a day or two and Regis and Vladimir really hit it off! They talked for hours about their childhoods with Ganondorf, something that they both shared in common. Well, aside from the obvious…

Of course, the former Demon King and King of Hyrule couldn’t hide a dark scowl as he saw the two walking side by side conversing once again. His dear wife Zelda told him he should try to spend more time with the both of them, but he just couldn’t stand being around Regis and the fact that Vladimir reminded him so much of his chubbier brother just made being with one of his elder sons awkward. It seemed he was more content in stewing in his own self-pity than anything else.

Truly, his stubbornness was his own worst enemy here…
