Poor man, he needs more constant positive encouragement from someone or some people.
My best friend in high school was overweight. These epithets were hurled at him constantly and he was very sad.
I did my best to be there as much as possible to keep his chin up, but we didn't have every class together and when I wasn't around is when he got the saddest. But otherwise, we were inseparable. I hadn't come to terms with my sexuality yet then but his big body had me feeling lots of things most of which I didn't understand. But you wouldn't want a more sincere friend as Harold was.
This is the memory brought up in viewing this piece. I just want to hug Malichai and let him know everything will be alright.
