"Hey, Kodai!" Golaith called, noticing that Kodai was simply standing there, staring into space. The chubby Zephyrite turned around to face his father with a blank look. Almost as if he was out of it.

"What is it, dad?" Kodai asked. To this, Golaith stammered a bit before collecting his thoughts.

"N-nothing. Just... um, well... I've noticed that you space out sometimes and, uh well I was wondering... what are you thinking about?" The question was a tough one to ask; not because he thought his son wouldn't have an answer, but because he was afraid of what the answer was. You see, Zephyrites have the acute ability to understand and see the intentions of others without misconceptions. They're rather preceptive in that sense, knowing one's thoughts before they can voice them out or being able to know whether or not someone is lying. Nevertheless, Zephyrites are far from psychic and they're powers only go so far unless they're properly trained. However, Kodai was the son of the Zephyr King, the heir to the Zephyr Kingdom. It wouldn't be wrong for Golaith to assume that Kodai's Zephyrite abilities to be more fine tuned even without training them. A thought that was interrupted with an audible growl and gurgle from the younger Zephyrite's belly.

"Guess that answers your question," Kodai joked with a lazy grin. Golaith could laugh back at him, though it was mostly out of a sigh of relief. He was worried that his son might be picking up on the fact that he and his surrogate father were the only ones of their kind in current record; a fact that he was dreading having to explain to him. Golaith shoved that thought down into the dark corners of his mind and led his son towards the colony shuttle to make a trip to the food court.

"I suppose so," Golaith finally responded, patting Kodai on the back. "Let's fill up that tank of yours, my Extra Soft Soldier!"

"Yes, sir!" Kodai saluted with glee. As they made their way down, Golaith couldn't help but be reminded of the man he once served under.

'Always thinking with his stomach. He always did love to eat,' Golaith thought. 'I guess he takes after his majesty in that respect...'
