Description
This step by step and carefully explained tutorial covers basic eye/face coloring, detailed hair and fur, etc. (mostly basics on how to do realistic drawings)! PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO DRAW THE HUMAN ANATOMY OR REALISTIC FORMS, but instead is a tutorial for how to cg or color realistically.
Since many people keep asking me if this works on photoshop versions such as 7.0, CS, CS2 or CS3, the answer is yes. If this works in ps elements then it should obviously work on higher versions.

Did you do the lineart in photoshop elements too? I'm trying to find a good drawing/painting program. I used paint tool SAI for a while but i can't buy the full version. Is elements easy to use?

I really needed this, been searching high and low for technique in digital art, and getting rid of that "painterly" look when using brushes (though I should know to use dodge and burn, I'm not exactly new to photoshop xD). Whenever I search for these kinds of tutorials I usually get some junk on editing people's skin, or creating logos or cartoons or whatnot...
Anyways, I'm kind of rambling at this point, but thanks so much for this tutorial. I'm sure it'll be a lot of help for me in the future!

weirdness... I tried it in photoshop and it didn't look as good as when I tried it in SAI... although, you would need both to get it to be awesome because you still need dodge, burn, blur, and sharpen... FUUU i wish sai had those things lol
